Unable to Connect to the Server

- If you see an error such as "Connection timed out: getsockopt" or "Timed out" when trying to join the server, close Minecraft, then click Launch Game in the Playsquad Desktop App to launch the game again.

💡
Note: You only need to close and relaunch the Minecraft game client. Do not close the entire Squad, as this will require the server to start up again.

- If you see a "Invalid session" error and cannot join the server, and restarting the game does not resolve the issue, there is a high chance that your Xbox account authentication is not working correctly.
- This error may also occur if Minecraft's authentication servers are experiencing an outage. In this case, the issue affects all Minecraft servers, not just Playsquad content servers.
If this happens, please wait a while and try connecting again later. Authentication server outages are typically resolved within 30 minutes to 1 hour.
If the UI Is Displayed Incorrectly

- If the character information in the top-left corner and NPC dialogue are missing, or if you see rows of square (
□) characters on the screen, the resource pack may not have loaded correctly.
- Close Minecraft, then click Launch Game in the Playsquad Desktop App to launch the game again.

- If restarting the game doesn't resolve the issue, the plugin responsible for installing the resource pack when the server starts may not have loaded correctly.
- In that case, close Minecraft, then go to Squad Management → Server Settings in the Playsquad Desktop App and click Restart Server. Once the server has finished restarting, launch the game again.
